Market-day, Wednesday. Steamers ply regularly on the Shannon between Kil- rush and Limerick. There is considerable trade in grain and timber. The nearest ry. sta. is Ennis, but during the summer months vessels sail daily in connec- tion with the trains at Foynes, which is 18 miles farther up the river ; in vicinity is the seat of Kilrush House. —2.
