4 newspapers. Market-day, Saturday. Kingsbridge is
the centre of business for a large extent of country
called the South Hams, and has a considerable agricul-
tural trade as well as a fair trade coastwise. Some of
the inhabitants are engaged in the fishing industry.
The church is nearly five centuries old. In the Town
Hall is an interesting museum. John Walcott (Peter
Pindar, 1738-1819) was a native.—2. Kingsbridge,

contains 11 pars, and part of another.

Kingsburgh House, a mansion which formerly
stood in Snizort par., Skye island, Inverness-shire, on
E. side of Loch Snizort Beag, 9 miles NAV. of Portree ;
at Kingsburgh House Prince Charles Edward found
refuge in 1746, and Dr Johnson and Boswell were
entertained by Flora Macdonald in 1773.
