It is now one of the cleanest and most handsome towns in Ireland. The church is the cathe- dral church of the diocese of Down, Connor, and Dro- more, and contains a monument to Jeremy Taylor, who Gazetteer of the British Isles, Statistical and Topographical, by John Bartholomew, F.R.G.S.
