T.o. Market-day, Monday. Beautifully situated on a
tableland S. of the river Taff, Llandaff is a very ancient
place, and is the head of a bishop’s see. The principal
object of interest is the cathedral of SS. Dubricius and
Teilo, which is said to date from the 5th century; the
present building was founded by Bishop Urban in 1120.
Many fine residences are in the vicinity, including
Llandaff Honse.
