The mfr. of AVelsh flannel sup- ports a great portion of the local trade, and in the vicinity are many well-known and productive lead mines. Tanning and machine-making are the other in- dustries. Llanidloes is one of the Montgomery District of Parliamentary Boroughs, which returns 1 member.
