Firth, is by some regarded as a continuation of AA7atling
Street.

at Domesday as Watelintone, and had its market charter
from Richard I. Lace-making is the principal indus-

miles NW. of Nottingham; P.O. The vil. consists of
the 2 hamlets of AVatnall Cantelupe and Watnall
Chaworth. Watnall Hail has been the seat of the
Rollestons since the reign of Queen Elizabeth.
