river Mellte, 11 miles NAY. of Merthyr Tydfil, 19,025
ac., pop. 587; has brick and fire-clay works ; the
Mellte here runs underground through the cavern of
Cwm Porth or Porth-yr-Ogof, % mile long.

gomeryshire border, and flows 25 miles SAY. and NAY.
to the sea at Aberystwith.

Ythan, river, Aberdeenshire ; rises at the AVells of
Ythan, and flows 35 miles SE. to the North Sea near
Newburgh.

Ythan AVells, quoad sacra par., Forgue and Auch-
terless pars., Aberdeenshire, pop. 1315; the church is
9 miles E. of Huntly.

Yu Cheance llhunt (The Round Meadow), field
beside St Trinian’s Church, near Greeba Mountain, on
road from Douglas to Peel, Isle of Man ; is connected
with the legend of the phynnodderee or hairy satyr.

lawn Kelly’s (The Fallen Cave), Cornwall, If mile
SE. of Lands End.

Zeal, South, vil., South Tawton par., Devon, 4 miles
E. of Okehampton; P.O.; was once a borough and
market town, and has a fine granite cross.
