Of the latitude and longitude of some of the most important places in the United States; also of the most considerable
places in the British Provinces, Mexico, and the West India Islands, and of some of the principal marts for American com-
merce in Europe and South America.' All the places are in N. latitude, except those marked S.; and all in W. longi-
tude, except those marked E. The Observatory, in England, from which longitude is taken, is at Greenwich, 5 miles
